In this draft post, I'm going to show you examples of the different heading styles that you can use within your Wordpress blog posts along with some tips. You can see next to each heading style I use here that I have indicated which style it is in parentheses beside it. This is a paragraph style (p). The other styles you can use within a post include H2 and H3 which are heading and subheading styles. Only use bold text in regular paragraph/body copy words. Bolding other heading styles will give a weird result since we don't have the bold variations of those fonts loaded on the page. Additionally, I would only add links to regular paragraph/body copy words. Links will look like this when they are added within paragraph text.

Let's go through some of the best practices for using Heading styles within your post. You'll see below that I'm switching between heading two styles and heading three styles.

Further break up your content with subheadings, which is your H3 style.

Use H2s to denote the main sections or topics of your blog post. They serve as the primary headings that guide readers through the structure of your content. Think of them as chapter titles in a book. So you can see here that I've used a heading two style for the main heading for this section while I've used an H3 style for the next heading within that broader topic.

Use it for SEO Keywords:

Incorporate primary or secondary keywords relevant to your topic into H2s. This practice helps search engines understand the content and context of your post, enhancing its visibility in search results.

Don't forget to leave plenty of clear space around your imagery as well. I have built this in to the site with some custom css, but always check to ensure the spacing is good, which will keep everything looking clean and professional!
